The España class was a series of three dreadnought battleships that were built for the Spanish Navy between 1909 and 1921: España, Alfonso XIII, and Jaime I. The ships were ordered as part of an informal mutual defense agreement with Britain and France, and were built with British support.

The Canarias class was a class of heavy cruiser of the Spanish Navy. Two ships of the class were completed in the 1930s. They were built in Spain by the Vickers-Armstrongs subsidiary Sociedad Española de Construcción Naval upon a British design, and were a modified version of the Royal Navy′s County class.

Navarra was a cruiser serving the Spanish Navy from 1923 to 1956. Construction on Reina Victoria Eugenia—the ship’s original name—began in 1915 by Sociedad Española de Construcción Naval in Ferrol. The design showed considerable British design influence resembling contemporary British Town-class cruisers.

The 2nd Series Churruca’s only had four 120 mm guns, but two 76 mm (3-in) AA guns, in place of the missing 4.7 in between the funnels, owing to the lack of supply of parts following the 1936 neutrality ban. Other minor design differences including upgraded main guns with larger shields and reworked pivot.

The Alsedo class was a Spanish class of destroyer. Three ships were built, based on a British design, entering service between 1924 and 1925. They all served through and survived the Spanish Civil War, two on the Republican side and one with the Nationalists.

The Huesca-class destroyers were two Italian destroyers of the Alessandro Poerio class,  completed shortly before the end of World War I. They were sold to Spain by Mussolini’s Italy when, due to their conditions and age, they could hardly be considered operational.

Former German MTBs S2-5, were bought by the Spanish Nationalists during the Civil War. Their petrol engines had considerable deterioration and a low-level of reliability. S3 and S5 were badly damaged at Cadiz during unloading from their cargo vessel and never commissioned by the Spanish navy.

In June 1937 she was scuttled when Bilbao fell, but was salvaged by Franco`s troops and commissioned into the National fleet in November 1937 as Álava, sometimes being classed as an Auxiliary Cruiser.

The Coastguard Patrol Boat Uad Kert fell under Nationalist control in July 1936. Heavily damaged by republican gunfire from the battleship Jaime I at Algeciras in August 1936, she was repaired and was able to serve the Nationalist cause until the end of the war.
