Armoured Train ‘H’ was built in the Madrid Railway Workshops and was sent to suppport troops on the Talavera de la Reina line. On falling back from the city train ‘H’ assisted with artillery support and the evacuation of the wounded.

Libertad‘s armour protected it from small arms fire, allowing it to safely carry soldiers and supplies. Its mobility  enabled rapid redeployment, but the lack of heavy artillery limited its offensive power. Despite vulnerabilities to sabotage and air attacks, it remained a valuable asset for Republican forces.
